The concept of leisure time has always felt a little foreign to me. When searching for outdoor serenity, I was so often struck by a sense of discomfort and hyper visibility as a Black woman.
On a recent afternoon by the sea, I took a look at the gear that surrounded me and was hit with a wave of cultural disconnect. Having just made the decision to prioritize time outdoors, I set out to create products that aligned with, alluded to, and called in my community.
The first ever Black-owned outdoor furniture and goods brand, ITA Leisure is for those who believe the outdoors is for everyone. We’re here to create premium goods and to foster a sense of community that brings you closer to the outdoors—with comfort, confidence, and ease.
